想用 Campy 系統, 但我的車是平把? 怎麼辦?
 


答案就是這款 "Campagnolo VELOCE™ 10s Ergopower™ FB controls" 。
要注意的是, Veloce 等級的 FB, 原廠有分 for "Dual Pivot Brakes" 與 "Linear Pull Brakes" 不同款,
二者在煞變把本體上沒有標示區分, 外觀也看不太出來差異, 但如果是原廠盒裝新品, 在外盒 barcode 處有清楚標示；如上圖例, 適用 "CANTI road brakes" (吊夾, 行程同短V夾 = Linear Pull Brakes)。

因為這款煞變把算罕見, 國外的單車部件網購站 (Wiggle, CRC...) 也絕跡, 也無從問起, 
事關自組平把 Campy 系統車成敗, 於是乎直接到 Campy 官網留言發問, 詢問此款 FB levers 能否適用於 Centaur-D Skeleton C夾夾器? 

Campagnolo 原廠客服是這樣說的 : 

>> It is very hard to distinguish one from the other; they look very similar even if they are not.  After a little research I discovered that difference between the two types of commands is very little and consist in a different braking action ( one body part doesn’t have same shape ). Cantilever brakes are wider than Caliper brakes. For this reason, off the record, you are able to use those in the picture with Caliper Skeleton brakes, but consider that your action on the braking lever will result more reacting and fast than usual. ( shorter than normal, only 2-3 mm ).


依據義佬的說法, 兩款是不一樣的, 但並不是完全不能共用, 主要的差別是在煞車行程。FB Cantilever (吊夾款/短V夾) 的反應時間比 FB Caliperlever (C夾款)快, 理論上應該只要略調整C夾預留間隙就可以解決, 要擔心的是煞得太快太急, 而不會像V夾煞車把手用在C夾夾器, 煞到底可能還是力道不足有安全顧慮。於是再問了一下這樣的調整方式是否可行?  問題是 : So it seems, these commands still work for Caliper Skeleton brakes, The only things I need special care is the braking time difference (faster than usual caliper brakes lever), there should no safety concern. (Not like using V-brake lever on caliper brake……)  As for the 2~3mm faster difference, Is it a good idea to fix this braking time difference by slightly enlarge the space of caliper brake pads vs. wheel rim, (ex : extra 0.5~1.0mm / per side) ?

這次義佬的回覆更簡單, 只有紅字幾個 :

順帶澄清個網路傳言, rumor 是說 Campy 的平把必須使用專用的前變, 否則因為行程與彎把不同, 會無法使用, 還列有 Campy 對應表規格指證歷歷......。

問題是 : Do I really need a FB specific front derailleur for my  Veloce FB commandsvs. Centaur front derailleur (2009 model CT+STD, on 50-34T or 53-39T double crankset)? If yes, where can I find one? If no, is it only an old rumor? Or it's for old type FB commands & front derailleur only?  (Been improved since when?)

義佬的回覆是:
>> It’s and old technical specification. If you own a 2006 or previous FB, than you need a specific front derailleur. Since 2007 we unified and for flat bar you just need a QS front derailleur; I guess that one you are currently using.

換句話說, 2006之前的舊型號 FB commands 確實必須搭配專用的 FB 前變, 但2007年起已經統一規格, 只要搭配的是QS版, 都可以正常使用。 

這款平把煞變把的質感算是很不錯, 主體金屬材質, 煞把部位還有 "Veloce FB" "Campagnolo" 字樣 logo, 握起來質感很扎實,  

變速單位個頭不大, 與Shimano R440 或 R770 比起來可說是小而簡潔, 變速品質柔順但檔檔到位, 特別是左前三速變把(中變), 按起來的手感比 Shimano 系統輕, 但是定位卻比較精準。與 Shimano 一樣, 可以支援 雙盤或三盤系統, 不過似乎沒有半檔設計, 一次直接到定位；我用 Centaur 中腿後變搭13-29T飛輪, 調整起來 大對大(50 vs. 29T), 小對小 (34 vs.13T) 會有點摩擦到前變鏈擋, 怎麼調都沒解, 雖然不會常用照這樣的檔位組合, 不過實際試騎後感覺不太到摩擦聲, 還算可以接受。進退檔的撥把比起 Shimano 的略小一號, 位置也有一點差異, 得適應一下。
 

右後10速變把, 可多進多退, 順暢輕柔, 檔與檔之間的定位堪稱精準。
 

煞把行程不可調, 但預留間隙可調, 不過比較麻煩些, 得先拆下如下圖中的夾器固定螺絲, 取下整個煞把組, 才有辦法調整。另外有趣的是, Campy 系統都有的煞車釋放鈕, Shimano & SRAM 系統是做在C夾夾器上以旋鈕方式設計, Campy 的則是長這樣......。另要提醒, 因為煞車線頭固定端子的孔位設計, 這組煞變把務必要使用 Campagnolo 專用的煞車線；Jagwire 也有出給 Campy 專用的線 (線頭端子長得比較小), 只是比較不好買。 
 



用了一段時間, 如果您要組的是平把車, 這組煞變把倒真的是值得推薦。
